What is a Transfer Settlement Network?
A Transfer Settlement Network, or TSN, is defined here as a blockchain-native infrastructure layer that coordinates identity, authorization, settlement execution, confidentiality, and final ownership updates for digital value transfers. It describes the machinery required to turn asset movement into a complete payment workflow.
Why this knowledge base exists
Blockchain systems are effective at transferring tokens between addresses, but real payments also require recipient identity, intent, permission, routing, finality, receipts, privacy boundaries, and accountable disclosure. This publication gives researchers, builders, ecosystems, and future readers a durable reference for that settlement layer.
The TrustLink Labs model
TrustLink Pay
TrustLink Pay is the identity-first stablecoin payment application built on the TrustLink Labs stack. Its public payment identity is the 10-digit Transfer Identity Number, or TIN. Familiar identifiers such as phone numbers can assist authorized discovery and routing without becoming the underlying public blockchain identity.
Research standards
The publication distinguishes protocol definitions, documented implementation facts, external comparisons, and forward-looking research. Primary and institutional sources are preferred, material corrections are recorded, and substantive articles are expected to explain their evidence and limitations.
